WARRANTY OVERVIEW
HOW TO FIX YOUR HOME IN STEPS
Naturally, after a storm, you should check to make sure that staying in your house is safe. Follow these four phases of the insurance claims procedure, provided it is secure to do so:
The extent of the damage and whether you require a roof replacement or repair will be determined by calling ProRoofs and having one of our HAAG Certified roofing specialists do a FREE inspection. Call your homeowner’s insurance provider immediately to submit a claim if we find that your roof and/or exterior have sustained enough damage.
Having a meeting between your insurance adjuster and a ProRoofs representative while your property is being inspected is crucial. Your home will be restored to its pre-storm condition with our representative working with your insurance adjuster.
Your insurance company will decide how much money it will agree to pay for the replacement of your home’s siding, gutters, and roof. Occasionally, during the initial examination, insurance companies are unable to identify all the items required to return your property to its pre-storm condition (i.e. non-visible items such as ice and water barrier, valley metal, roof decking, etc.). Throughout the restoration process, we collaborate closely with them to make sure that any preexisting or crucial objects are brought to their attention.
Two checks are normally issued by insurance providers for your property’s repairs. First, the actual cash value (ACV) of the repairs, less depreciation. We’ll send your insurance provider a final invoice after the work is finished to let them know the project is over and to allow them to release the depreciation for those items. Second, the depreciation check will subsequently be delivered to you by your insurance carrier.
Your net claim, or the sum you owe us for the fixed repairs, will be shown on the invoice that we will send you, which will also contain the deductible, the ACV sum, and depreciation. If items are found throughout the restoration process that the insurance determines are required to restore your home to its pre-storm state, that will be detailed on our last invoice to you as well.
You won’t need to manage many contractors because ProRoofs can assist with many areas of home restoration. Our Certified inspectors are prepared to decide what is best for your home and we accept all insurance claims. To get started, give us a call at 712-291-5357 or complete our contact form.
